So after the Godzilla sequel and the new King Kong reboot, Legendary pictures will solidify what is essentially an American version of the Toho daikaiju universe by creating a new version of what is probably considered one of if not the most recognizable monster movie crossovers of all time by giving us a new version of King Kong vs Godzilla.

This now leads us to the possible plans of them including the jagers from Pacific Rim as well.

Story wise, I could see Kong existing in the 2014 Godzilla movie, although their going to have to do something to increase his size to match the king of the monsters.  Unless, in Skull Island Kong is kaiju sized to begin with.

But Pacific Rim gives us a pretty decent amount of knowledge about the kaiju wars.  Especially considering a in -universe tv and comic are planned.   Then again, part of the PR mythos is universe hopping.
