Title: MUGS! Post by: RCMerchant on September 18, 2015, 07:59:21 AM Some actors are good at being real mugs! Karloff-in his CRIMINAL CODE (1931) and SCARFACE (1931) days was quite the mug.
But hands down for me is Sterling Hayden in the ASPHALT JUNGLE (1950). One of my favorite scenesin the movie-the lineup- "Put on yer hat." And when the witness chickens out-just because Sterling is glaring at him-classic. He'sa scary MF. I love the little smirk he gives the shmoe witness- "Put on yer hat".
