Title: mid 80s film, maybe made for TV, reminds me of robbery scene in Boogie Nights Post by: scotland60b on December 10, 2015, 05:51:43 PM I only remember a few details, but the most striking is that it reminded me a lot of the robbery/gunfight scene from Boogie Nights. I know that particular scene was based on the Wonderland murders, and I am sure it wasn't the movie Wonderland. I don't recall anybody I recognized in it. It seemed to be about a young man making bad decisions and how his life deteriorates until he gets himself in a situation much like the scene from Boogie Nights. I remember the ending scene. He is wounded, don't remember how, and his car breaks down and he has to begin walking even though he is badly wounded in the stomach. The movie ends and leaves you wondering whether he lives or dies.
Another detail I remember is that the credits contained the name Alaimo, but I don't remember in what role. I also can't find any movies that might fit the bill with people named Alaimo on IMDB. It may have been a made-for-TV movie, certainly wasn't a Hollywood blockbuster. I should explain what I mean by the movie reminding me a lot of the robbery scene from Boogie Nights. This movie was definitely made before Boogie Nights...when I saw Boogie Nights, the drug-deal-gone bad scene made me think of this obscure movie. The main character was played by someone I didn't recognize then. I can still sort of picture him but it's not any actor I'm familiar with, even now.

The main character I remember resembled Dermot Mulroney, and at the time I saw the movie, I wouldn't have known him. However, I cant find this movie in its entirety so cant verify the ending, which is about the only thing I remember. Anybody seen it?
