I bet ... this is the original Godzilla, regenerating after being all oxygen destroyed. He's not nice. They're not going to advertise it, but he'll be fighting ANOTHER Godzilla, either the Millennium or - just maybe - the 2014 one. That one will be kind of nice, or at least less not nice.

Some of the early stills had me wondering. but I do like the new look. I've also heard that this new Godzilla would not be a man in a suit but a combination of puppets, and CGI-but some of those shots really did look like suitmation was employed.
I also like that it looks like Godzilla will be the only kaiju in the film. I think that's smart of a reboot like they did for Godzilla 1985. It makes Godzilla seem special and dangerous again. When the sequels come around (if they do follow this movie's continuity) then you can introduce more monsters. Can't wait to see it. |
