The artist known as Prince has (http://www.thonline.com/news/national_world/article_9254b3ca-30b8-5ec2-86e4-5ac6b247b1c4.html) passed awy;

Quote
CHANHASSEN, Minn. — Pop music superstar Prince has been found dead at his home in suburban Minneapolis.

His publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, told The Associated Press the music icon was found dead at his home today in Chanhassen.

The singer, songwriter, arranger and instrumentalist was widely acclaimed as one of the most inventive musicians of his era, drawing upon influences ranging from James Brown to the Beatles to Jimi Hendrix. His hits included "Little Red Corvette," ''Let's Go Crazy" and "When Doves Cry."

The Minneapolis native broke through in the late 1970s with the hits "Wanna Be Your Lover" and soared over the following decade with such albums as "1999" and "Purple Rain."

This is sad news.  Good night PRINCE

Yeah this has been one f**king week for the record books.   Got laid off Monday.  Then found out Prince had passed on.  And right afterwards my dad got a call saying my Grandpa's last surviving sibling passed on today.  He had been in his 80s and had cancer.

Ugh.  f**king ugh in fact.

I was never a huge fan, but there is no doubt he was a musical icon!  Good night, sweet PRINCE.

Been a fan since he first album back in the 78 I remember in the 5Th grade in 85 one of kids in class brought in Prince's album Around The World In A Day had the teacher played Raspberry Beret almost everyday. My late mother love some of his song specially the song Delirious. R.I.P Prince one of my favorite entertainers of all time.
