Title: Small village turns into Hell for 24 hours each year?????
Post by: coryfrommer on April 28, 2016, 04:13:42 PM
I hope someone can help.  Searching for an old movie (70s?) where some touristis are travelling (s america?) and are stuck in a small town overnight, which happens to be the one night each year that the town turns into actual Hell.  I've been looking for this movie since i was a kid!  i would have sworn the name of the movie or the town was santiago, but that's fuzzy, and searching for it that way gets me nowhere.  Anyone?  Thanks for any help.

Cory

I like the concept but I never heard of this one.

It sounds to be something like: Who Can Kill a Child? (1976) meets Killing of Satan (1983)... I do think the story sounds more Philippines then Spanish.  Which made me think of Killing of Satan.

I took a look at a Philippines movie list and found: Santiago! (1970) by Lino Brocka. Sorry but no information on this movie on IMDB or Wiki...

Probably JUDGEMENT NIGHT (88) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095414/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095414/)
"Two travelers stop over in a small village named Santana. Unbeknownst to them, Santana is a village where, once a year, Satan comes to Earth to claim souls, and they just happened to enter the village on that day."
