Title: 1950 or 1960s thriller/horror about a painter who poses dead models' bodies
Post by: shangelx on September 08, 2016, 03:47:25 AM
About 8 years ago I was watching a cable access channel in the middle of the night near Halloween and they were showing a series of b-horror movies from the '50s and '60s I think. One that I had fun watching was about a painter who would become irate if his models couldn't hold completely still while he was painting and he'd lash out and kill them.

He starts keeping their dead bodies in this huge freezer and positioning them into the poses he wants. By the end of the movie he has a tableau of ladies posed in different ways, one of whom he has holding a bow and arrow drawn. As you can guess, at some point the freezer starts to defrost and as the ladies begin to thaw, the bow loosens and the artist gets killed by the arrow.

I don't remember much about the movie beyond that, but I can't remember the name and haven't been able to find anything about it no matter what search terms I use.

Does this movie sound familiar to anyone else?
