Title: (sigh) Dog keeps pooping on the floor. Post by: AoTFan on October 11, 2016, 09:36:25 PM So, yeah, I've talked about Cody the puppy we got a few weeks (or I should day, my mom got, he wasn't my idea) but we STILL haven't quite figured out how to get him to let us know when he needs to go outside. For the most part, he doesn't seem to give any indication he needs to go. He just sneaks off somewhere, quickly drops a load, and then comes back. (Been calling him the Poop Ninja of late.) Even when we do let him out, he doesn't seem to understand that the backyard is the ideal place to go. At first, we'd let him out on the deck and he'd just poop/pee there instead of going down the stairs and out onto the grass, so mom blocked off the decked with some plywood.
Now, though, when I let him out downstairs, he'll just pee right by the door. And lately he's been pooping in my freaking bedroom (there's no carpet there, just concrete floor). So, I don't know, maybe because his previous owners never exposed him to grass and dirt much he's just used to going on concrete, Still, it's a bit annoying. |
