Several days ago, the Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) uploaded (what I assume was intended to be a farcical) trailer for an "old" re-discovered sci-fi movie called "Flying f**kernauts vs. the Astro Bastards."  It included cameos from several of the AVGN's friends, including The Nostalgia Critic (Doug Walker), Mike Matei, and Kyle

I would like this film to become a reality, and as such have started a petition on "change.org".  Even if it is only a cheap internet short, I think it would be hilarious to see, as it would incorporate the vast background knowledge of bad old sci-fi and horror movies that the AVGN and Nostalgia Critic are known to possess.  

It would work on several levels, as pastiche, as slap-stick, as commentary on "bad" old movies, as well as critique on the overblown sci-fi blockbusters we've all come to expect from today's market.

 Visit "change.org" to sign this petition if you're ready to see this film come to fruition in some form.  And, if enough people sign, I'll not only donate $1000 of my own money to start off, but I'll get in touch with the powers that be, and create a kickstarter to donate the money to the appropriate people who could get this project done.

Come on... you know you want it.

After viewing the "trailer", I can state I really DO NOT care to see this made into an actual movie. It panders to the lowest intellectual factor of supposed fans of "bad" movies. I found no sense of love or respect for the films it was attempting to reference. You want a film that does a wonderful job of poking fun at old B-movies with love and respect, try watching The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. And it manages to do so without resorting to people humping stuffed animals as comedy.

Spam or not, I think the topic creator would probably be better served begging for supporters from a site that caters to navel-gazing hipsters who tend to think anything created prior to the date of their birth is only worthy of contempt.

Of course, this is only my opinion. Others here may find this kind of thing to be their cup of tea.

As a general rule, I'm against anything the Angry Videogame Nerd does and much of what the Nostalgia Critic does. 

I just don't find them as funny as they probably think they are. 

Also, even if you hadn't told me they were involved and just gave me the name of the project with nothing else, I'd still not support it.  It sounds like something trying too hard to be edgy.
