Terry Gilliam has been trying to get his Quixote project, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, off the ground since 1998. First, Jean Rochefort was in the title role, and some actual footage was shot, before the project shut down in 2000. Since then, Robert Duvall, Michael Palin, Gerard Depardieu, and lastly John Hurt have been associated with the role and the film. Well, back to square 1.
