Great actor, one of my favorites. We knew about the cancer for a long time but he kept on working until the end. Terry Gilliam had even cast him to play Don Quixote after the diagnosis. R.I.P.  :bluesad:

I always enjoyed watching him in any role, even if I didn't care for the rest of the production. Classic actor. Rest well, Mr. Hurt.

Darn! Terry Gilliam has been trying to get his Quixote project, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, off the ground since 1998. First, Jean Rochefort was in the title role, and some actual footage was shot, before the project shut down in 2000. Since then, Robert Duvall, Michael Palin, Gerard Depardieu, and lastly John Hurt have been associated with the role and the film. Well, back to square 1.

R.I.P. John. You were always quite an actor.
