Title: My Dad
Post by: indianasmith on February 23, 2017, 12:15:22 AM
Hey, gang, please send some thoughts/prayers/good wishes our way.  My Dad suffered a heart attack tonight.
It was a fairly minor one, but he is 90 years old and frail, so it's been very hard on him.  (And us.)

Dad is slowly improving - they are now saying it was not a heart attack, but they can't say exactly what it was that caused such in irregular EKG.

On a separate note, my mother-in-law was admitted to the hospital yesterday with a cellulitis infection in her legs.  She's on the 4th floor, my Dad's on the 2nd.  Two nights in a row at the ER.

It's been a meat grinder of a week! LOL

Thanks for all the kind words, guys.
I'm worried about Dad - his breathing was really ragged when I checked on him this evening.
My wife is miserable, her mom is the only one who seems to be responding well go care and feeling better!

I think my Dad turned the corner today.  He's awake, coherent, and his various ailments seem to be responding to medication.

He's recovered physically pretty well, but his dementia is getting worse.  But, he's cheerful and says he doesn't hurt, so I'm grateful for that.
