I seen the trailers-I want to-but I aint got no money. I'll have to wait untill it comes on Netflix. :bluesad: It looks great! I heard the next Godzilla is gonna be much better than the last one-which was ok-except you never hardly see Godzilla! If your going to make a Godzilla movie-SHOW THE MONSTER!

I'm an old movie guy-the only new movies I like are the Marvel Superhero movies-and the KING KONG movie. I like KING KONG.

Kong certainly doesn't have that problem!  :teddyr:

Saw this with my daughters and a friend last night - LOVED IT!  Kong is one huge freaking beast!

I saw it on Monday. If you can do 3-D, go see it that way. I saw it on an IMAX screen (a real IMAX), and the size of the screen and the 3-D really made Kong appear gigantic.

At the beginning of the movie, I was kind of disappointed that it was so by the numbers. Then Kong showed up and everything immediately got 20x better. That helicopter scene was intense. The sheer ferocity of Kong is pretty successfully maintained throughout the entire movie.

Pretty much everything to do with the monsters is top-notch. There are a variety of monsters on the island, and there's never too much time until the next monster fight comes along. Plus you don't have to listen to the backstory of some stupid cabin boy.

There's also a post-credit scene, so I would hang around for that.

Me and Tiana just watched this On Demand.
Amazing.
It wasn't a sequel to KING KONG (2005) at all. It was a stand alone movie-and I thought much better. The giant animals were great, and the "Skull Crawlers" were a good foe for Kong. The action scenes were awesome. And setting it in post 'Nam '70's was inspired.  Great music too!
As far as the cast-I'm kinda played out on Samuel L. Jackson. He's overexposed. John C.Reilly was fantastic! And it was nice to see John Goodman back on the big screen.
