The writer suggests it may be as big a hit as ED WOOD, meaning Oscar nominations (for James Franco as Tommy Wiseau, presumably).

It's a weird, but workable, blend of novel, biography, and auto-biography. I had no idea there was a movie being made. I am intrigued. A very poorly made film gets a dramatized making-of film, where a good actor plays a bad actor. It's so bizarre. I feel like I'm reading some self-reflexive postmodern treatise about the medium being the message.
