Title: Well, I'm actually getting my comic started! Post by: AoTFan on July 16, 2017, 07:10:54 PM So, to recap, mentioned I had this idea for using my old Battle Beasts figures for a comic about a group of BB's various adventures and crazy situations they get into, featuring an arc about one of them trying to get a revival going for the toy line.
Well, I'm actually DOING it! So many of my ideas peter out for one reason or another, but here I've actually gotten the first panel of the first comic done (well, a rough cut anyway.) I'm gonna forgo the story arc for the moment and start with a one (maybe two) note gag featuring two characters. Anyway, here's the first panel.. (http://i.imgur.com/3bTRqnC.png) Hope you like! Well, as normal, I was wrong. Looking at your attempt to getting your comic started, I can see that you seem to be a very imaginative guy. Certainly, someone more imaginative than myself, who is deadly to imagination. So, when you job interview bring up this attempt to get a comic started, as sign of how creative you can be in your job. So, good luck and please keep us informed on how things are progressing.

Got another "We're not going forward with your app" this time as a letter (didn't even interview me, sad, huh?) Been focusing more lately on trying to do stuff on Upwork. To that end, I've been asking around type to find stuff people want Photoshopped to build up my profile. Had an interview on Upwork for a Virtual Assistant job, but she, balked at the rate I asked for. (I came back with a counter offer at a lower price, but dunno if she'll accept or not.) Only (well, one of them anyway) downside to Upwork is they take about 20 percent of your pay off the top, so if you charge $10 a hour, you only make $8.00. But, still.. if I could get some work doing either call center or Photoshop stuff it might be work
As for my comic, it's still going, up to panel six, gotta finish the panels, put them together, then slap on a logo. :) Since everyone's all excited, I'll go ahead and post another panel. (http://i.imgur.com/eXhHzeG.png) |
