Title: Ice Cream Man (1995)

Despite one of the best VHS boxes every made (once that haunted me as a child) I had never watched Ice Cream Man until today.

I wish I would have watched it when I was younger and more impressionable.  It would have terrified me.

If you haven't seen it, go check it out.  This is Clint Howard at his absolute creepiest (and that's really saying something.)  It also has some of the nastiest least appealing ice cream you'll ever see and some of the worst police work on film.

There's not much on plot of explanations, but it sure has style.

I agree.

I remember watching this when it first came out and the only impression it left on me was that it was weird in a fun way.

Bought the recent release of it and found it to be a gross, oddly funny, and fine example of what a good "bad" film can be. Not a movie I will go out of my way to watch often, but it deserves a spot on my shelves.

Clint Howard does give one of his best performances here -- I mean, for playing a mental-case who has a thing for ice cream and kids. I think he stands out because he is pretty much the focal character here, whereas in other films he tends to play purely supporting roles.

Clint howard is underrated and underappreciated. This a rare example of a movie being intentionaly bad and but good, for those who have discerning tastes! I would have loved to him in more major roles, look at him, he is the perfect little weird perverted guy ever!
