My mom is contemplating driving a little ways out to an area where you're supposed to be able to see it more clearly, but dunno, I heard a LOT of people are planning to do that, as the line is pretty well publicized, so they're probably be a crap ton of traffic.

For the rest of the day & days after, I had to put up with other kids talking about how exciting it was. Even the bad kids doing In School Suspension got to go outside & see it. The one I missed when I was a kid, It was so foggy & overcast, we could barely see the other end of the building, much less the sky. Nobody cared. The kids who got to see it were still really worked up afterwards. It was strange though. It was sunny but shady. its hard to explain. kinda like ambient sunshine not direct sunshine. Eerie in a way. I snapped some pictures but they didnt show the eclipse, the guy next to me took a picture and captured it perfectly. Dammit! Someone else had the special glasses and let see, i saw the eclipse just after totality and witnessed a nice crescent sun. Very cool. hopefully i wont get cataracts.
