Title: Late 70s Grindhouse about a Hippie Cult
Post by: JJWX on September 22, 2017, 02:39:18 PM
I saw this movie in a drive in, it was most likely inspired by Manson.  An older guy had a cult of about 6 young women that lured men and killed them.  Typical grindhouse stuff, not much plot, some violence, tried to be serious but was more laughable.  I think I saw it as a double feature with 'Last House on the Left'.

Sounds like THE CULT (1971, but played drive-ins for many years later) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0197664/?ref_=nv_sr_6 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0197664/?ref_=nv_sr_6)

I was thinking that 'The Cult' was incorrect till I saw the trailer... the scene of them standing on some steps looks right.  I wanted to try to see the whole thing but can't seem to find the full movie online.  A general question to the group.... any good sources that I am not aware of?  Preferably cheap?

There is a bootleg copy out there but it's in German and there are no subtitles. You might try searching for the film under some of its other names: THE MANSON MASSACRE or TOGETHER GIRLS or HOUSE OF BONDAGE.
