Title: ANNABELLE: CREATION (2017)
Post by: indianasmith on October 31, 2017, 04:39:52 PM
I have always had a soft spot for creepy doll movies, and ANNABELLE really revived that franchise about three years ago.  Now the third film in the series comes along, and in many ways I found this one to be the best.

A toymaker and his wife lose their daughter in a tragic car accident.
About a dozen years later, the same couple, he now aged and saddened and she crippled in a mysterious accident, welcome a group of orphaned girls into their sprawling country home, along with the nun who takes care of them.  But he warns the new arrivals that the upstairs bedroom (which belonged to his lost daughter) is off limits.  So of course someone goes in - and the creepiness begins.

A nice, spooky little origin story that is surprisingly bloody in places, I thought this was the best film in the series, and perfect viewing for the night before Halloween. 4.5/5
