I especially love the ones that do not translate well into other languages (AoTFan's pretty much make sense in German, except probably the first one). My favorite German ones that do not do well in English: "That makes the dog go crazy in the frying pan." "The mouse won't bite a thread off it." "The other way makes the shoe."
