I don't generally believe in ghosts-but I don't think poltergeists are 'ghosts' per se.
The folks adopted a 15 year old kid? There ya go.
It seems this kind of thing happens around young teens the most. Some kind of built up psychic force that lets loose during adolesence.

Fascinating, Captain.

my young friend tony spent 2 years there, about 8 years ago. he still has grayish patches onhis face, hands and feet, and 3 blue toes from frostbite. but he's from washington state, no clue how to live in that climate the first year. he lives in venezuela now.

he's a little...uumm...strange. his mom passed 12 years ago when he was a teenager, she was a serious crusader type. he seems to have this need to do the things she didn't get the chance to do.
but he's helping so many people,it's hard for me to tell him he should come home and help people here instead..if that makes any sense.

I would like to visit where the Tunguska event happened and flattened all those trees. Was it a meteor? An exploding flying saucer? A spontanious atomic explosion?

NO ONE KNOWS.
