Title: Cobra Kai Post by: clockworkcanary on April 04, 2018, 07:01:18 AM So all these years later, Johnny opens a Cobra Kai Dojo while Danielson is a car salesman. Loved the trailer for this. I'm pretty excited to see it.

Title: Re: Cobra Kai Post by: Bushma on April 12, 2018, 08:11:15 PM I really enjoyed the trailer for this movie and can't wait to see it. When I first saw the trailer it reminded me of this YouTube video.

Looks like the dynamics are going to change for this one, which is a nice twist. At least, according to the trailer, Daniel has become an arrogant prick, yet it doesn't make Johnny exactly the good guy. Looks like a lot of gray area with lessons to be learned for each character. I like that; it's never too late to learn no matter your age. Should be pretty interesting. This seems to be a growing trend - part of a group of 25-30 year later sequels (that might start replacing the reboot trends?): The Rocky movie years later, Tron, years later, Rambo years later, Star Wars Cobra Kai/Karate Kid coming soon, and I hear there's a years later Bill and Ted coming (30 years pass and they still haven't written that song!). Makes me wonder what other "years later" movies we might get: Goonies, Back to the Future (which has a nice fake trailer out there somewhere), Titanic (j/k), Breakfast Club, Heathers, or Revenge of the Nerds. There is some kind of Beetlejuice follow-up in the works. IMDB doesn't have much about it, though. Title: Re: Cobra Kai Post by: Bushma on May 04, 2018, 05:10:25 PM The first two episodes are free so I watched them. It was really good. It's actually got me thinking about signing up for YouTube Red.
