Title: RIP Dr Charles Krauthammer Post by: Trevor on June 22, 2018, 01:43:25 AM An amazing intellect and a brave person who did not let the fact that he was in a wheelchair stop him from living life to the fullest: I didn't always agree with him but his insight and his humor will be missed greatly.
One funny story I heard about him was his celebration of Christmas: he would spend hours and hours locked in his son's room watching movie marathons with his son: he would always ask his wife to "now and again throw food at us". :teddyr: RIP Dr Charles. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5872071/Pulitzer-prize-winning-columnist-dies-age-68.html (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5872071/Pulitzer-prize-winning-columnist-dies-age-68.html) Title: Re: RIP Dr Charles Krauthammer Post by: indianasmith on June 22, 2018, 02:16:34 AM I consider him the last of the great conservative intellectuals. I will miss his writing, and his always insightful commentary.

Agreed: his book Things That Matter is brilliant, especially the chapter on his brother. Title: Re: RIP Dr Charles Krauthammer Post by: frank on June 25, 2018, 03:24:03 AM Never heard of him, but that's an awesome name! Could be even better with the germanic form of Charles, though. |
