Actually, The Nanny Diaries did have some creepy "French clowns." But in truth they were just mimes with red lipstick & frilly collars. I could be entirely wrong, just my own personal theory.

I remember being at some kind of Cub Scout event back then where the "entertainment" was a clown, and when the guy came in I rolled my eyes like "Seriously? Oy!" Haha
