Title: Question for our British friends Post by: AoTFan on September 20, 2018, 09:24:40 PM Dunno if we have any on this board, but I'm sure SOMEONE will know this...
In general, what "level" of insult is "wanker"? I mean, is it a mild one like "goofball" or "dummy", bit more serious like, "jerk" or "idiot", or maybe a mild swear word territory like "a***ole"? Title: Re: Question for our British friends Post by: Alex on September 21, 2018, 12:20:19 AM Mild swear. Jerk isn't really one that is used in the UK, but idiot would be a kids playground insult (say under 12). Once you get to your teenage years you'd be more inclined to call someone a wanker and it cause offence. By the time you are an adult, you'd be more likely to laugh and say "Yeah, you telling me you don't?"
