Title: good movie, bad editing.

Name a movie that was good but hurt at least a little by bad editing.

Shin Godzilla: After Godzilla was seriously wounded by an American bombing attack and literally had a few pieces blown off him, a team was sent to  investigate. We saw a very brief scene of them finding a massive chunk of Godzilla's flesh and a small piece fell off near them.

What was cut: the rest of the scene where the team saw several fragments of godzilla's body had grown eyes and even teeth, and were obviously (and horrifyingly)  alive. There was a reference to godzill's parts being possibly able to survive and even evolve, possibly into new forms and maybe even becoming flight capable, but this was just a brief bit of dialog in an already dialog intensive movie.

Why it was a bad edit: Making it graphically clear that fragments of Godzilla could survive and become separate creatures would have made the monster even more terrifying, and would have made the rest of the world's (America, of course) decision to destroy it with a nuclear weapon more understandable and less "America covering it's @$$ at japan's expense." Also it would have made the final scene involving godzilla'a tail more understandable. Lastly it would have made a statement that the American president would have used a nuclear weapon to destroy Godzilla utterly if it had been in New York much more believable.

A Mighty Heart with Angelina Jolie: every shot seemed to last about two seconds before they cut to another.
