Title: Anne of Green Gables: Fire and Dew
Post by: ER on September 23, 2018, 07:01:48 PM
While my heart will always belong to the 1980s WonderWorks version of Anne of Green Gables, I am finding this 2017 production beautiful and endearing. A person could do worse than Anne when it comes to a role model.

Ne'er seen any of the TV versions, but I have seen the 1934 film version with Anne Shirley. Which is how the actress got her name, as she took it from the character she played.

And been there and seen that. The Green Gables farmhouse in located in Cavendish (Prince Edward Island or P.E.I.) There are also many other tourist attractions associated with the story on P.E.I.
They are particularly popular with the Japanese, who have their own replica of the farmhouse at Canadian World in Ashibetsu, Hokkaido (Japan.)
