Post by: mr. henry on May 29, 2002, 05:00:35 AM
howdy all---

no doubt a lot of you have seen lego movies---stop animated---before. i was made aware with all the star wars parodies everywhere...

check out this one i "found." kinda like "night of the living dead" LEGO-style.

NOTE: be sure to download the long 8+ meg version if you can...the small one is hard to see.

NOTE2: here's another link to some good ones. check out "The Big Night Out," sort of a "Swingers" ala LEGO. Also the LEGO version of "young guns."

There's also a really cool video on heavy rotation on MTV and MTV2 made entirely out of Legos. It's called "Fell In Love With A Girl" by the White Stripes. I think it's legit stop-motion, no computer enhancement. The knobs on the singer's guitar are even wheels from a racecar kit!

that's the most inventive and coolest video i've seen in a loooong time on the old mtv. i can't imagine how long it took to make it. i'd guess they at least use software to plan out and design the frames and then build them. i think i heard real blocks were used.

that song pretty much rocks...reminds me of the buzzcocks a little.

Don't forget the "Camalot song" on the 2-disk "Holy Grail" collection. It is a silly place.

OK. that python one is great. i checked it out on ifilm. same guys as "all of the dead."

i like this other one alot. it's a lego version of "texas chainsaw." the voices are sped up so everyone sounds like the chipmunks. this is more of a low budget lego flick. pretty amazing what people are doing with a webcam and a bucket of legos. seriously, check it out.
