Title: Go on a Star Trek holiday?

Based on watching Star Trek in the UK, I would say you do not want to be on that ship on a Wednesday at 18:00 to 18:30, especially if you are wearing a red shirt.

Hmm, looked at some of the pages on that. Lots of people seem to be wearing red shirts.

It is going to be a bloody massacre.

I'm a Liverpool supporter so I'll wear my shirt: black and silver.

Not checked that link yet, but have you heard about the fight between the Storm Trooper and the Red Shirt? Storm Trooper misses, but the Red Shirt dies anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised that someone in the future does come up with a place that allows us Trekkers to take a Star Trek vacation, since immersive vacations are now considered the wave of the future, with a Star Wars Hotel opening at Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2020 or 2021. And the rumor exists that Universal Orlando is thinking of opening up its own immersive hotel, which will be themed either to Harry Potter or Jurassic Park sometime in the next decade.

An update and a correction.

The hotel is opening much sooner than I thought. The expected opening date is the 2nd half of next year or 2019.

The one question I have, which I have yet to see an answer for, is . . . if costumes are to be worn, can people bring and wear their own costumes? There are some elaborate costumes out there. I still remember the Ewok family: father, mother, and 3 teenage sons, all dressed as Ewoks.

When ever I have visited Disneyland, they have been fine with costumes as long as you don't pose for photos.
