My loved ones, too numerous to list..... The smell of fresh-mown grass.... The smell of rain falling on a hot summer sidewalk.... My friends near and far.... Paydays (not the candy bar)..... Forbidden Planet.... The fact my father is the smartest man in virtually any room he enters..... My old dog Chocolate.... The way my buddy Clare walks like she's dancing.... A good book.... Dawn and dusk..... Wintertime.... When the leaves turn in autumn.... My home.... A bonfire.... The Elder Scrolls series, the Souls series, Fallout series, Dishonored series, the Carnivores series, the Medal of Honor series, and many other game titles..... the Burrens.... Hugging all my children at once.... Shopping.... My almost father in law's incredible generosity to my children when he has no reason to do the things for them he does.... The Bill of Rights.... You guys here.... Music..... Dreams.... A workout high..... Winning a hard-fought tennis match.... Bright colors.... The fact my mother is clearly a fairy queen with amnesia about her homeland.... Sled riding.... Being asked to write recommendation letters on behalf of former interns.... The fact I am looking at retirement at age forty-two (knock on wood).... Decorating for various holidays.... Kite flying.... My Secret Keeper..... My oldest daughter's love of reading.... The way my son is such a Quiet Man.... My youngest's propensity for high drama that makes me laugh afterward.... Being an American.... The fact I'm almost forty and I still have a living grandparent..... A massage.....  King of the Hill.... A good joke..... The fact that after decades of agnosticism I came to feel hope that I may one day be reunited with those I loved, who are gone.... Being Irish.... Metal detecting.... Freedom.... The ancient overlook at the edge of my woods (I suspect people have stood there for 12,000 years)..... Making lists.

Teaching American history, unraveling ancient mysteries, reading about the Romans, and living out my destiny.
Making rhymes, hiking (sometimes), a crisp fall day outdoors, and counting out my dimes.

I may just do that.
Thanks!
I just bought an issue of WORLD FAMOUS CREATURES magazine from 1959, which was the first Famous Monster rip-off mag. It's got great John Severin art!  :buggedout:
I got it for $1.00 from an old lady at Busy Bee Flea Market!

Dig this- I bought 3 weeks ago the whole run of the INVADERS (#1-#41) for $45 dollars on Ebay.
Nobody saw the auction, cuz the guy was only selling 4 or 5 things-it went under the radar. I was the only bidder. The bid started at 40 bucks. The 5 was for shipping.
Its from the 70's, and features Capt.America and Bucky, Namor, the Human Torch and Toro, and 2 issues have Thor (!) one has the Frankenstein Monster (!!!), the Red Skull is there as well, Baron Zemo, some cool Kirby covers-! Great stuff.
Great art by Frank Robbins and Alan Kupperburg too, who are comic book artists from the 1940's.

That time I was in a restaurant and there was this loud rude ahole a couple tables down from me. When I left I stopped behind him as he was seated at his table, turned away, let a SBD rip and walked away nonchalantly. I heard his gag before I reached the door. Man, I loved that...

I LOVE a good painting.

I LOVE biographies.  Just started DAVID McCULLOUGH's John Adams.  It's only about 1000 pages.

I LOVE a great short novel like The Great Gatsby (I don't like any of the movies made of it).  I LOVE Slaughterhouse Five a "Science Fiction" story.  If you like fantasy and faith interests you, read LARRY NIVEN and JERRY POURNELLE's Inferno.  I LOVE Inferno. All three short and unforgettable.

I LOVE cheap red wine that's good.    :drink:

No, I don't think they would be.

Closest I ever came to one was in 2006, my college roommate and I met up five years after graduation and were on a cruise together and for a third-grade schoolmarm from New England she was letting go on that ship, drinking, picking up men, getting high, just....wow, she hadn't acted like that back in the day, and out of character for me I'd let her talk me into partaking of "some" substance that was making me feel not too well, and so I limped back from the club we'd been in and when I collapsed into bed I vowed no matter what I was NOT leaving our cabin for any reason that night, not like the night before when she'd sexiled me til about three AM.

When she brought some man back a little while later and proceeded to absolutely go unabashedly around the world with him in her bed a mere few feet away, her bare legs sticking up in my peripheral vision and my ears filling with all these noises, I stubbornly laid there half-sick, my presence apparently not deterring their inebriated carrying-on whatsoever.

After their first round, which concluded in a truly strange sound, like hissing, I heard the guy say to my roommate, "Think we can talk her into joining us?"

I raised up off the pillow, his naked ass literally like six feet away from me where he was still on top of my roommate, and said, "I would SO hurl on you if you tried."

Then I flipped over and put a pillow over my head thinking, "Well, this is the most awkward moment of my entire life."

It wasn't but at that second it felt like it.

Then he came over to my bed and starting trying to kiss on me, and I kick-shoved him off and he went back over to the other bed and they carried on again.

To this day we Do Not Speak Of That Cruise.

Being a horrible criminal and a threat to all western civilization. Seriously, I love the move "scrooge" the musical with Albert finney and Alec guiness but most of the plebes hate it so it doesn't get shown in tv much.

Well, screw the peasants and their plebeian tastes! I decided not to let them limit my viewing choices this holiday season! I just watched it on the net for free with no interruptions asides from the ones I chose! A bit late to the game but this strikes me as odd. You claim to love this movie, but not enough to own it on DVD ($6) or Blu-ray ($9)? Do you even collect movies you like or love? It's also available on Amazon Prime for $2. Maybe show a little support for a beloved movie by buying or renting it. Just saying  :teddyr:
