Weird, I watched that one independently the other day.

I'm not sure why you're having trouble embedding. Just remove the "s" and it works fine for me:

I'm surprised that, considering they're Irish, there wasn't more, "You call this stuff STRONG?!" type comments.

Jeez. I also happened to see this clip the other day after someone sent it to me. One thing I can say about Irish people is their near-universal reaction to American candy is that it's too sweet, and their reaction to American salty type snacks is that they're too salty. (And that from a nation raised on soda bread.) One of my cousins also said water over here tastes like "chemical stew" and oh, yeah, she also said cheese in the US tastes, "completely dead."

Dead cheese, yup, there you have it. I told her personally I'd prefer my cheese not to be walking around or having emotions, but that's just me.

One English guy I know of,  after visiting america and trying american beer,  when asked what he thought of American beer said "Is that what it was? "

The beer's I've tried in the US haven't been great, although I do have to say they have some nice craft ales.

I'll agree with that. It's tasteless.
When I was a kid 'Motka', an old Russian woman, made goat cheese, which was sour and tangy and wonderful.

Almost everyone in the rest of the world hates peanut butter, too.

Europeans used to complain about American beer but that's when we just offered Budweiser, Coors, etc. Nowadays there's plenty of great beer here that is equal to the best Europe has to offer (with the exception of Belgium, which is in a class of its own).

In the USA you need to stick with the craft ales and micro breweries, the main stream brands are too week and watery.
And Alex should tell you all about the lecture he heard the US visitors being given when they were visiting his place of work about drinking in the UK.

The story Kristi is referring to was a briefing given to the US military when they are doing a detachment. I happened to be passing the room they were being given the briefing in by one of their guys. They were all bring warned not to try and match locals drink for drink, due to the differences between American beers to European ones.

When I was younger and used to drink more when visiting NATO sqns came to the base I was one of the guys who would be regularly trotted out to take part in drinking contests. Managed to beat the Swedish, German and American air forces reps, although I am pretty sure the next day none of us felt like winners lol. My favourites were the German's. They had us taking a snort of snuff and then downing a shot. Wish I could remember the name of it.
