Not someone I've ever heard of before but some of Lois Weber's films have been restored.

I am sad to say I am not familiar with her.  A quick skim of her filmography tells me she wrote  Tarzan of the Apes with Elmo Lincoln, but i don't think I've seen anything she directed.  It appears that some of hr stuff can be found online, so it looks like time to catch up.
