Title: Light Blast (1985) with Erik Estrada!
Post by: Archivist on January 28, 2019, 08:21:03 PM
Holy cow, this looks amazing! And by amazing, I mean BAD.

Sorry... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uM2Q3IOoOOg#)

Originally known as Colpi Di Luce, aka Light Blast in English speaking countries, this movie stars Erik Estrada only two years after the long running TV show C.H.I.P.S. The poster for this movie hung in the video shop that we frequented when I was but a wee lad. Today marks the first time I've seen the trailer. Wow. Just wow.

Full movie is here!

I saw this (on YouTube) a couple of years ago. It's quite fun.

The sci-fi elements are really just window dressing but it's a fun cop romp with the inevitable (although well-staged) post "Bullitt" undulating car chase.
The best thing about the movie is definitely Enio Girolami's turn as the Russian nutcase who's behind the whole plot.
