Much as I like good poetry, I admit when I was fourteen and reading LOTR for the first time, I got heartily sick of all those songs.

Alas I cannot recall a character in that weighty tome called Trevor the Underpants Gnome.

Only because he doesn't have a high enough level bard to sing his tales... yet.
