Title: Spitting Image.
Post by: Alex on February 10, 2019, 05:22:56 AM
I was talking about an old satirical puppet show from the UK with Kristi the other night. Anyway, just for her (and anyone else who want's to watch them), here are some of the music videos they done. One warning though, if you are a fan of any figure from the 80's you may not want to watch as they took aim at pretty much anyone (including on occasion entire nations).

These guys lost me when they had a song called "I've Never Met A Nice South African" in their second season and their puppet of Princess Diana made her look ugly.

In the U.S. Spitting Image is probably best known for Genesis' music video for "Land of Confusion," which got played on MTV fifty times a day back in 1986.

If memory serves, the video's popularity led to a couple of "Spitting Image" specials on American TV with an eye on turning it into a weekly series, but it never caught on.
