DO NOT WATCH THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE ORIGINAL 2003 OLDBOY I've been waiting a month to post this. I didn't want to share it until it was monetized again, so that the creator doesn't lose more money. Thanks, YouTube. I was informed on a Google Hangout that the next review this guy was going to do would be of the 2013 remake of Oldboy. So to prepare myself for this video I procured 100% PERFECTLY LEGAL COPIES OF BOTH MOVIES :wink:. I watched the original 2003 Oldboy and was absolutely blown away. It quickly became one of my favorite movies ever and I'm trying to share it with as many people as possible. So then I moved on to the 2013 remake made by Spike Lee and it made me want to die. I'm not going to go into all of it since I just linked to an hour and a half long review that would do a better job than I ever could. I just want to share all of the feelings I have about how much I hate this remake. I can say with no doubt in my mind that Spike Lee's Oldboy is THE WORST REMAKE EVER MADE. As someone who absolutely adored the first movie, the remake was f**king painful to watch. Even if you have no interest in the review (I don't blame you at that length) I cannot possibly recommend the original 2003 Oldboy more. Go see it ASAP. Oldboy (2003): 10/10 Oldboy (2013): 1/10 |
