Title: An Act of Physical Creation From Mental Energy
Post by: ER on May 02, 2020, 12:21:35 PM
Do you think the energy of collective thought might have the ability to create something in reality? Like a culture creating its own gods through collective belief, or as in the case of writers who talk about encountering their creations in the physical world? (Neil Gaiman and Bret Easton Ellis and Billy Corgan have all talked about that experience, as did Arthur Conan Doyle.)

If we did have the power to  make physical our thoughts, it would be a world of exploding heads.
I would go on a massacre every time I watched the news!

Would it clash with everyone else's attempts to create something leaving us with only a consensus reality where only the most common ideas had enough power to shape reality, whereas fringe thoughts were pushed aside, unless one person has a strong enough mind to change it to suit themselves?

No, that'd be physical creating physical. I'm sorry you couldn't grasp the concept of the question, John. PM me and I'll explain it with simpler examples.

No; mankind's mental energy cannot create by itself. If it could, living Pokemon would've been discovered in the late 90's. (2.5 kids to each adult, & kids would be more apt for this type stuff anyways.)

Then again, there is an animal called a pika. ;)
