Title: Favorite Brides of Dracula
Post by: chainsaw midget on September 18, 2020, 10:58:15 PM
Let's take a moment to talk about some of the more under appreciated of the classic monsters set, the brides of Dracula.

They tend to vary from "getting their own movies" to "barley background characters" but the classic Count just isn't the same without his harem of vampiresses.

Do you all have a favorite set of brides?

Do you prefer them as minor background characters or major threats themselves?

(and because I felt like it. he's a few nice examples for you.)

Not Dracula, not a bride, but Count Mora's daughter in MARK OF THE VAMPIRE (1935)-Luna!

Veronica Carlson or Ingrid Pitt or... no wait Caroline Munro was never actually a bride as far as I can recall, but if she had, then she would have been my favourite, no wait Britt Ekland (she played the wife of a vampire in The Monster Club, so that counts), or Kate O'Mara...

Pretty much any women who ever appeared in one of those low front dresses in a Hammer Movie.

I loved the brides in Coppola's version (chainsaw's 3rd pic). Here's the SFW version of the scene:
