Title: films that just dive straight in! Post by: zombie no.one on September 28, 2020, 05:36:09 PM I just had a little re-watch of Lenzi's NIGHTMARE CITY (1980) , and I like the way it wastes virtually no time in getting down to the action... there's barely a minute of exposition after the credits, before the mayhem starts
any other films that don't bother with long intros and just go for broke? (good movies can count too) Title: Re: films that just dive straight in! Post by: zombie no.one on September 28, 2020, 05:40:23 PM I suppose there are films that have a hectic/frantic opening scene as a kind of prologue, and then the long intro to the film proper begins... but I'm not really talking about that

Post by: zelmo73 on September 28, 2020, 09:44:02 PM Star Wars Episodes III & IV probably did it the best for me. Having a movie start literally right in the middle of a battle scene with guns blazing and screams of the dying just gets my juices flowing.
