I saw this pic on Pinterest the other day

and it states that this is a street scene from Bulawayo, my birthplace in Zimbabwe.

Actually it isn't. The street scene is from Gweru where I grew up and lived from 1967 to 1986. I recognize most of the buildings and the hill at the back of the pic is the hill which over looks the city.  :question: :question:

And they're a good clip apart, too.....

Funny thing, but for years, I thought my old job at The Times-Dispatch was in Hanover, but sometime in 2020 I was updating my resume' & found out it was technically in Mechanicsville, which is a town inside Hanover.....

Indeed: it was always nice to go to Bulawayo (Mom's brother lived there) and the shops there were better: more cinemas too.  :smile:

This person says that this theater is in Johannesburg: no, it was in Pretoria until it burned down in 1993.*

* I meant that the theater burned down, not Pretoria.
