it was not received well, even after a lengthy run once it came to HBO and Cinemax, I think it became a cult classic once USA Network started playing it on a regular basis. It definitely should be better remembered than how it is. I haven't seen it since I saw it in the theater. I only want to watch it to make sure my first assessment is as bad as I recall (though I dimly recall at the very least, it wasn't totally dull)
