Title: Not about a bad movie but about a bad show
Post by: Brian Ringler on April 05, 2001, 01:15:51 AM
I watched Thats my Bush tonight...which you could tell by the ads wasn't going to be a masterpeice but I expected a little more.  Why couldn't comedy central have kept Strangers with Candy for another season instead of making this?

I hate to say it, and i admit i have no intention of seening it, but this show is possably intended to be an in-your-face political statement  rather then entertaining. In short, it maby an ego thing. This is what happens when comics try to pontificate. They become their own straightmen, with a shortage of punchlines. Sad, realy.

No, its not a political statement.  From what I've heard, they would have made the show even if Al Gore had gotten elected.  Its just supposed to be a spoof of sitcoms.  I didn't think it was terrible, but there must be something better to parody than bad sitcoms.

Talking about bad TV shows, how about that new BLACK SCORPION show on Sci-Fi channel? I couldn't watch 10 minutes of that.
