To anyone who has seen the movie Lifeforce "1985"....Is this a good enough movie to buy or tape?

I own Lifeforce on both tape and DVD.  It is one of my favorite movies, and I do recommend it.  The acting can be a bit stiff, and the plot can be a bit dodgy, but still, good stuff.

If you do buy the tape/DVD, make sure it's the "director" cut.  The original cut removed some plot elements.

It has been over 15 years since I saw this movie.
Some good frontal nudity. A bizzare twist on the
space alien vampires that drink lifeforce instead
of blood. I would recommend it.

I liked it. Thought it had some of the same 'feel' as a Quatermass movie.

I would definitely buy it, especially the DVD.  In fact, this is a DVD that I have given as a gift to many people.

During the early parts of the movie, when they are investigating the alien ship, the atmosphere is great.  Hundreds of mummified vampires, that look sort of like werebats, drift in zero gravity in a huge room.  Then the explorers find three (three, right?) human beings, apparently in suspended animation.  I like the rest of the movie, especially near the end when all heck breaks look, but the beginning has always seemed perfect.

Unfortunately, "Lifeforce" is rumored to be the film that killed Tobe Hooper's career.  That is a shame, because it is an interesting movie.

Yes, just get the expanded cut...and get it letterboxed.
