Title: Rock & Roll High School (Corman) 1979
Post by: Scott on April 14, 2001, 09:42:11 AM
Here was a fun film. It reminded me of DETROIT ROCK CITY(alittle). The whole film was about the band the Ramones. I've lived in New Jersey for 19 years and the Ramones are kinda like the Beatles or something. They are very well know in these parts. How about the rest of the country? Do they have a larger following? I might even buy their music because I found their scenes in ROCK AND ROLL HIGH SCHOOL entertaining. The movie made me think of GREASE with the high school scene.

PORKY'S just played yesterday on COMEDY CENTRAL. I remember liking it in the theater, then they overplayed it on TV and it turned me off, but I haven't seen or thought about this movie in over 15 years, so it was neat to see this film again.

This is a classic that's for sure. I seen it on VH1 not to long ago. Great stuff!

The Ramone's are popular wherever you find punkers.  I never really got into them, except for the Good, Bad and the Ugly at the beginning of that live album.

Now if you want pain, I recommend you watch the remake with Corey Feldman.
