It's a Japanese horror movie directed by Kei Fujiwara (she played the girlfriend in Tetsuo: The Iron Man) about an underground group that sells human organs on the black market, or something. Being a fan of the Tetsuo movies, this sounds very interesting to me...
Title: Re: "Organ" Post by: Dr Menard on April 26, 2001, 12:07:07 PM Get a look at this one if you get chance. It's very reminiscent of Cronenbergs Body Horror stuff and fits in snuggly beside other Jap horror films as Naked Blood without being quite so extreme.
Others you may want to check out (forgive me if you've already seen them) Untold Story Ebola Syndrome Human Pork Chop There's a Secret In My soup Man Behind The Sun Guts/Entrails Of A Beauty Guts/Entrails Of A Virgin Uzumaki Audition This stuff represents some of the best Jap Horror that's around at the moment. It wouldn't be a bad idea to keep your eyes peeled for Battle Royale, Takeshi "Beat" Kitano's upcoming orgy of violence - it should be fun. My only real experience with Japanese horror cinema is anime and Shinya Tsukamoto... guess I'll have to go do some renting.
Title: Re: "Organ" Post by: Dr Menard on April 27, 2001, 07:41:14 AM You won't find a lot of them as domestic US releases. Some you can pick up from Hong Kong dirt cheap although Untold Story would be a good place to start. It's out on the Tai Seng label in the US.
