Nikkatsu Films, 1966. 83min. Weird ass Yakuza tale! Visual style> t.v. Batman+ Diobolic+ Dick Tracy the movie!.....Soundtrack> Marricone + Film Noir+Japanese 60's style. SEE!> The hero wistle the title tune before kicking Yakuza ass....Broad landscapes of Primary colors(But, no Warren Beatty!) .....Syncronised Drunk Clobbering!...."Shooting Star" b***h slapp a henchman in a plaid coat....Yakuza bring guns to a sword fight!....Typical Convoluted Japanese plot....The hero, shot in the back, wistle the title tune while lying in his own blood....Realy good bar fight....Neato visual style....Great bad guy distraction with a 9mm flipped casualy over the sholder.....> All in all, a good addition for the Borntreger collection. Or anyone elses! Betrayl, sword fights, shootouts, Confusing Motivations, bad employee/managment relations, and of corse, that old Noir magic.   Flangepart says, review this at your leasure.
