Title: Why isn't today a holiday?!
Post by: Vermin Boy on December 21, 2002, 11:25:19 AM
On a whim, I just checked out the IMDb's "On This Day" page, and decided that today should be considered some sort of b-movie holiday. Among the people born on this day:

Vampira
Jack "Eraserhead" Nance
"Eegah" producer/creepy dad Arch Hall Sr.
Corman regular/soap star Ed Nelson
All-around cult figure Frank Zappa

...AND it's MC Hammer's wedding anniversary. I tell ya, if today weren't Saturday, I'd seriously consider staying home for religious reasons! ;)

That's a great point! Why ISN'T there a holiday for bad movies? And today of all days too! Grrr. If you're looking for good information about born and died dates, check out the Mst3kinfo.com  front page. Every day they have lists of people who have been in Mst3k movies, or who helped create them. Maybe some of the names aren't as big as Vampira or an Arch Hall Sr. but there are still a lot. Check it out!

We could just take the day off and claim religious reasons. :)

It also happened to be my b-day and we KNOW how important that is! ;-)
It;s also the solstice and used to be a holiday until the christians coopted it w/ x-mas.
