My vote would have to be (to this date):
ANY scene with Jeff Goldblum.
This man disturbs me to no end.
I have nothing more to say about him, just thinking of that %&*#@ gives me a really bad case of the heebie jeebies.

The eating scene in Joe D'Amato's Buried Alive, or the full frontal grandma sex in The House That Vanished.  God damn, I've been talking about that...that...thing way too much here lately.

Well, I know this isn't very cool of me, but I was just watching "Stranger Inside" on HBO and I'm afraid of going to jail! especially woman's jail! I think I'd  be less afraid of jail if i was a guy cos chicks are MEEEAN!! But anyway, I was thinking, Man!!! this girl! goes to the maximun security prison! to be with her MAMA!! this is the best movie EVER! (by the way i just watched "Glitter" before this and cried, a LOT so that might epxplain why this movie seems so good to me right now) and then the part with the women standing in line looking very unattractive naked.. as i would expect a prison woman to look.. and they made them bend over so they could prod their orifaces! for illegal smugglins!! and they didnt change the glove!!!!

i know its nothing new.. we all know what goes on in prison.. and if i think hard enough ive probably seen something way more disturbing.. but right now i cant sleep cos of this!  i keep replaying it over and over in my head!  im going nuts! im so scared thats gonna be ME one day! being prodded! in PRISON! surrounded by mean people that hate me and wanna prod me some more out of hate!

>I was just watching "Stranger Inside" on HBO

Just out of curiousity, I looked in my cable guide and I don't see this listed at all.

As for most disturbing, I've said it before; The scene in Shot Through the Heart (an HBO original about the war in Bosnia) where a little girl is shot in the head by a sniper. Especially when you realize that things like this actually happened.

You beat me to the punch.   Oh, how I hated him in "Independence Day". His vocals remind me of an idling boat motor (putt putt putt putt) and he looked like a 3 day old robin, screeching for a worm.

1) The skinning scene in "Dagon".

2) The ear scene in "Reservoir Dogs".

3) That guy in t"The wild bunch" who gets his throat cut.

4) The words "The Cannon Group Inc. presents" and "A Golan/Globus production"  inmediately before and after the film title.

First ones to come to mind are:

1.  The 10 minute shot from Funny Games.
2.  The video from Henry.
3.  The rape from Man Bites Dog
4.  The rape from Irreversible
5.  Every frame of Salo
6.  The end of Combat Shock.
7.  Any animal death in any given cannibal movie (not an enjoyable disturbing)

Get Banned From TV

As for most disturbing, the scene that comes to mind is the lesbo kissing scene in Not Another Teen Movie.  Especially the siliva afterwards.

Something else that is also disturbing is this commercial about "male enhancement".  It's a pill or cream or somthing ( I forgot  the name).  Where this guy is in a party but feels depressed.  But, after taking it, he's the life of the party, starting a congo line and everything.  Which mean in a nutshell, guys with small or average dicks are no fun unless you have a much bigger dick.  Very reassuring.\

Two scenes that made me sick:

The killing of the cow in Apocalypse Now.

The canoe scene in The Burning. I felt queasy after this scene.

Then there's any film that starts with "A Dean Devlin production of a Roland Emmerich film."

I know one scene that always freaks everyone out. It is in Dustin Hoffman's Marathon Man, where he gets tortured by a Nazi Dentist. You have to see this scene. Is it Safe????

Also, I always get freaked out by the end of Blair Witch, when The guy is in the corner and the camera hits the ground, without u seeing a thing

Oh let's see:

1) There was scene in a movie with a 300+ lbs naked lesbian.  Urp.

2) The  scene in Harold & Maude which shows them in bed, afterwards.  The film was shown to us in high school, I think everyone went "eeewwww"

3) Any movie title saying "Starring Madonna"

4) The scene in "The Pope of Greenwich Village" where he gets his thumb cut off.  It's the only scene of violence in the movie, and not much is shown.  That's probably why it hit home to me, it seemed like it could be so real.

5) I cried the first time I saw the penultimate scene in Old Yeller.

The scene in Caligula with the man they force feed wine, cut is penis off and feed in to the dog.

The shot of the man standing in the middle of the killing fields in the movie by the same name

The guy with the gifted anus in Pink Flamingos, the chicken f**king scene wasn't pleasant either.

Most of Meet the Feebels

The ear eating scene in Dead Alive

The "acupuncture needles into the eyelids" and the "sawing off the foot with a sharp wire" scenes in AUDITION were pretty unsettling.

The shower chainsaw scene in SCARFACE was pretty disturbing the first time I saw it, but it has lost most of its impact over the years.

The "lopping off the top of the head" scene in MAKE THEM DIE SLOWLY (aka CANNIBAL FEROX) gets an honorable mention.

I agree with the writer who mentioned FUNNY GAMES . . . the entire tone of that movie is disturbing.

The words "Written, Produced and Directed by Sylvester Stallone" have always bothered me.

Also "Co-starring Shelly Winters . . . George Kennedy . . . Hal Holbrook . . . Robert Foxworth . . . Cameron Mitchell . . . (the list is endless)

Probably the most disturbing scene I've seen was in Titticut Follies, a long-banned documentary on mental hospital conditions. In the scene, footage of a patient being force-fed (via a tube in his nose) is juxtaposed with footage of that same patient's funeral preparations (being shaved, having his eyes stuffed, etc). I suppose it doesn't really count, since it's real and not just done for the movie, but as soon as I realized what was happening, my blood ran cold, and I was kinda shaken for the rest of the day.

Another scene that's disturbing in a more subtle way is the one in Texas Chainsaw Massacre, where that one girl stumbles into the room with all the bones, and the camera pans across them... and keeps panning. You keep expecting it to end, but it lasts at least a minute or two, showing more and more body parts. The scene has a huge feeling of "Holy sh*t, these people are sick"... And then the guy who did it comes through the door!

Also, I can't believe no one's mentioned the eye-slicing scene in Bunuel & Dali's Un Chien Andalou (which, the more I think about it, is one of the greatest films ever made).

The rape scenes in I Spit On Your Grave are probably the most disturbing scenes I've watched in a movie.  Nothing has made me squirm more than watching them.

The scene in Terror Firmer where The killer shows it's private parts at the end.  I have never seen organs that were that disturbing.

The very end of Jeepers Creepers.  Seeing the eye through the holloed out eye sockets left me in shock for a while.

THe atttempted rape of a little girl ghost that miraculously turned into a twenty something year old woman ghost in Vengeance of The Dead.  This disturbed me because she as an eight year old ghost and then out of nowhere she was an adult.  And add to that that he wanted to rape her for no f ing reason.

In the same movie the scene where the old man sands his wood(?)  while his grand  daughter takes a shower.  That was just plain confusing and sickening.

At the end of Burial Ground where the Little creepy boy bites his mom's  nipple off.  That scene haunted me since the first time I saw that movie like 14 years ago, if my memory serves me correctly.

I always felt the scene in HG Lewis' "Two Thousand Maniacs" where the woman is brought into the Mayor's office only to have her arm chopped off with an ax was very disturbing.
Mainly because it seems so very real. No music. Just horriffic shrieks. You know she is doomed being held down by three men while a fourth grabs a handy ax.
Then the madenning gleefulness of the purpetrators is just sick.

I love it!!!!!!

Don't worry Perk.  The boy in Burial Ground is actually a man/child.  But I'll be damned if he isn't one of the most disturbing visions ever put on celluloid.

For me, it would have to be the one story in 'Necronomicon', where the policewoman is trapped in the sewers and miscarried and then at the end of that particular episode, she is strapped down with no arms or legs, with things sucking her marrow...there was just something disturbing about it....that she would never get out alive...trapped.....

I don't know what this says about me. I was watching one of the many Faces of Death flicks(love 'em), and very much enjoying it(it was an early one). But then, it went horribly wrong. They showed a scene in which they were burning a live pig with a blow torch, to test the effects of fire on skin(blah, blah) and the frikkin' pig started screaming and s**t...awful, couldn't watch it, left the room. I am NOT a sociopath, but that is the only thing EVER to disturb me in any movie.

Ok, we don't get any HBO channels other than HBO and HBO Family. No wonder I couldn't find it.

>okay i hate to be the one to bring porn to the topic all the time

Why not just admit that you're addicted to porn! :)

>im ruined!! thinking about the ass artist makes me tremble it was FOUL!

Ok, I didn't want to have to do this, but as long as you've openedt he door to non-mainstream stuff, I have some  video clips I've downloaded that make what you described seem absolutely tame by comparision. Before anyone thinks I'm a real freak, I downloaded them just to say I'd seen them and to gross out other people.

1. The post carried the title of Vomit Queen. A young looking asian girl sticks almost her whole hand in her mouth and pukes into a bowl. I swear she looked like she was trying to scratch her stomach from the inside. of course the really disturbing part was when she started picking chunks out of the bowl and eating them. Wait, don't skip to the next paragraph yet, it gets better! She started scooping out stringy liquid from the bowl and licking it off her fingers!

2. A video labelled as body modification was set to music and showed a guy's scrotum being cut open in a surgical setting, one testicle being squeezed through the opening and then needles being driven into it. The needles are pulled out, the testicle put back in and the cut sewn up.

3. A guy in a middle Eastern country being anally impaled on a stake in public while the crowd cheers it on.

4. A Russian/Czech soldier having his head sawed off with a very large knife.

>They showed a scene in which they were burning a live pig with a blow torch,

I've seen that. A local channel used to play a special on animal cruelty every night late night.

One of the most disturbing thing I've seen would be Tim Curry in It. That is one scary ass clown!!!!! The scene in Return of the Living Dead Part 2 where the girl lets her boyfriend eat her brains. I may be the only person who's ever seen them, but there was a swarm of low-budget thrillers in the '70s based on lesser-known works of Alstair MacLean, who also wrote the novels "The Guns of Navarone," "Force 10 From Navarone," "The Satan Bug," and "Ice Station Zebra," as well as the script for "Where Eagles Dare."

These "lesser" thrillers are...competent (try to imagine Anthony Hopkins as an action hero! in "When Eight Bells Toll") and one, "Golden Rendevous" had an amazing cast of washed-up losers and a fun cheesy score--but "Puppet On A Chain" has a scene that I still vividly remember some twenty years after seeing it--and I wish I didn't.

It involves Barbara Parkins and a length of chain, and it was more sickening than ANY scene in Alfred Hitchcock's "Frenzy."

The film's no masterpiece (although there are some kickass action sequences), but the director, rather than tittilate the audience with violence, ground our noses into it and made us eat it, making sure we didn't like the taste.

Which is why I remember this little unknown OOP film long after I've forgotten the majority of junk from the James Bond cookie-cutter.

Title: Re: Most disturbing scene ever

She stumbles into the bad guys' drug-smuggling operation and they hang her with the chain. (In fact, the title "Puppet On A Chain" refers to one goon's vicious habit of using a doll to illustrate his victims' fate to them, which occurs here.) While completely free of gore or explicitness, it's a long, drawn-out, painful-to-watch scene, we're forced to hang around for several minutes AFTER the act, and the hero--her lover, natch--discovers her still-dangling body in yet another very, very unpleasant scene.

Unfortunately, this leads to the movie's SILLIEST moment; he's promptly captured by the bad guys, who suddenly change their style and place him in a time-consuming "death trap" more appropriate to the Adam West "Batman" show--they tie him to a chair and try to scramble his brains with high-frequency sounds. (No prize for guessing that he escapes and kills them all.)

I think mine would (at this time) be the scene from Naked Lunch when Bill Lee stumbles upon his young, "friend" being (what Ive assumed) raped by a giant centipede with a human face inside an oversized birdcage. The fact that the victim has the centipedes legs stuck under his skin and is bleeding all over....urgh. Anyone who's seen it knows what Im talking about.

Mine was at the end of "Natural Born Killers'.

When Mickey & Mallory tell Robert Downey Jr. they're gonna shoot him with their shotguns.

I keep thinking about the s**t that'd be going through my head if 2 psychos were pointing their shotguns at me and I KNEW that death was just moments away.

I mean, I've seen a lot of killings in films & TV but that one particularly weirded me out and made me think a little.

I was watching OZ the other night (had someone tape it for me).  well anyway in this one scene a prisoner goes up to this big guy and he big guy gives him a spoon.
"Lick it." said the big guy.  The prisoner, i think his name was Robson, licks the spoon.  "Now turn around and bend over.  We're gonna spoon."
What followed was very disturbing just because of the faces that Robson made.  After seeing that I was certain that I would never, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever go to jail.

Hmmm.....most disturbing......

It's a standoff between the following:

(1) The oatmeal eating scene in Pet Cemetary with the spine-twisted sister.
(2) Creepozoid called this one, the ending of Sleepaway Camp. Talk about disturbing!!!
(3) The scene in Last House on the Left where the one guy makes the girl pee in her pants.
(4) The fingernail removal scene in Buried Alive.

Use these to stay awake for finals, guaranteed to keep you awake!

Sure, "Caligula," "Pink Flamingos," "I Spit on Your Grave," and even "Harold and Maude" have some pretty disturbing scenes in them. But by far, the most disturbing scene EVER was the sex scene in "Mitchell." It's bad enough that a guy like Joe Don Baker is in bed with Linda Evans, but the very fact that he's put baby oil in his beefy, buttery skin is just revolting. YUCK! YUCK!
