Post by: kriegerg69 on February 01, 2003, 02:12:05 PM
Just read this on the AOL horror board:

"Actor Anthony Eisley died in Woodland Hills, California, on January 29, 2003.  He was 78.  Originally known as Fred Eisley, he starred in Roger Corman's 1959 film "The Wasp Woman".  Eisley later appeared in a number of low-budget science fiction and horror films from the 1960s including "The Navy vs. the Night Monsters", "Journey to the Center of Time", "The Witchmaker", "The Mummy and the Cuse of the Jackals", "The Mighty Gorga", "Dracula vs. Frankenstein", "Monster", "Deeps Space", and "Evil Spirits".  On television, Eisley starre as Tracy Steele in the detective series "Hawaiian Eye".  He was also seen in episodes of The Outer Limits, Wild Wild West, The Invaders, the Magician, Project UFO, A Man Called Sloane, and Outlaws"

Thanks for informing us all about this unsettling news,Greg, for it comes on the same day as this new space shuttle disaster.
It's always really sad to lose yet another cult movie celebrity, especially one who's been a very busy player in recent years(mainly the Fred Olen Ray and Gray Grave films of the late 80s/early 90s).

I'm sure that someone will figure out a way to resurrect Anthony Eisley. Maybe they can take scenes from one of his old movies and edit them into a new movie the way guys like Al Adamson used to.
