i've really only seen Basket Case. i dig it's classic monster movie feel.

i saw Basket Case 2 and was really disappointed. it didn't have the mood, quirky characters, the dark lighting...it had nothing. It just throws out weird star trek type creatures in a boring attic parade.

...it did however nearly top the grotesque coupling scene of the first movie though. two basket heads doing it was about as shocking.

question: is basket case three any good? better than 2? i'd like to see another henenlotter film that is at least half as good as basket case. i suspect basket case is henenlotter's masterpiece...am i right or am i right?

Personally, I enjoyed Basket Case 2. It isn't as good as the first one, but still I thought it was a fine movie on its own. Basket Case 3 is good too, however, for some reason I thought the second one was better. But if you want to see a Henenlotter film that's half as good as the original Basket Case, try Brain Damage. Although I think the absolute best movie he's made is Frankenhooker.

Mario's right - "Frankenhooker" is a great black comedy, watch out for that super-crack! "Braindamage" is also a good, tasteless schlock-horror movie. I preferred BC2 to part 3 - watch how Belial re-arranges the reporter's facial features.
