Title: mercy splices and the final countdown
Post by: tooshea on March 28, 2003, 07:27:27 PM
OK is there a DVD version of the fine film "the final countdown"?  I would love to see extra scenes in that.  I also heard someone was remaking PATRICK with Dennis Leary, any truth to that rumor?  My poor wife and I watched the witching and we had to do a mercy splice after 8 minutes, not a record but close.  BTW in film school a mercy splice is where you physically cut the film to remove it from the projector, as most aren't the slot load kind.  its only used in extreme cases because you have to re spool the film and re splice it.  The record for a mercy splice was sextette and the GOD AWFUL follow that rainbow....it took 2 minutes for that one LOL
have fun

I've got it on DVD, double-sided DVD with 'Hercules in New York' on the other side.  Not watched either of them yet.  They came in a set of  free films  (http://www.badmovies.org/bbs/read.php?f=2&i=15055&t=14833) that came with a DVD player. No extras at all although the cover boasts 'special features: scene selection', but I think that's just stating the obvious.  Like selling a CD and boasting it has 'song selection'.
